the file I created is was in the /usr/local/zmailer/smtpserver.conf
directory. (I created a file .smtpserver-world.conf, which contains
the smtpserver command-line options, to pair with my
smtpserver-world.conf file.)

I am now not so sure whether this is the real problem, since I found
that the zmailer was very low on memory and the system nearly crashed
later.
