Works quite nicely for me.

Mine was is actually a lot larger with quite a lot of processed
files after 'make publish'  (5.5 MB)
After 'make clean' it now shrank to 1.1 MB.

Nevertheless, my intention is not to include PDF or HTML rendered
versions of those documents into CVS.  Those you have to wget from
zmailer.org web server.  Furthermore, actual HTML files themselves
get additional processing during http-get.  It would have been
nice if the style-sheet loading would work thru <LINK> tags, but
the only way I got the correct effects was thru inlining.
