debug
mail from ...

you can use the 'debug' command any time in the smtp session.
it just causes smtp-protocol violation by lots of weird output,
which you must look at the sources to know what the codes mean.
it is very thorough, although also obscure...

if you are kind enough to make the output more human readable,
I will gladly accept the diffs.
