Re: Re: Help with open relay needed

thanks, this helped us.
One additional Question:
If a host within our network (IP [131.234.0.0]/16) makes a connection to
the smtpserver from zmailer50s1 it now has to write all adresses with the
fully qualified domain name, otherwise the smtpserver gives the following
error message:
501 5.1.7 Path data: Missing "@" from mailbox definition
The elder version we ran before accepted adresses without FQDN for local
IP-Adressses.
Our smtpsever.conf includes the following lines:
localhost 99 ve
*.uni-paderborn.de 99 ve
\[131.234.*.*\] 99 ve
\[*\] 99 veR
* 999 veR
I supposed that the 'R'-character is responsible for this strictness, but
for our local adress range we do not use 'R'.
Is this now a general behaviour of zmailer or do we have the possibility
to influence this?
Thanx again and regards,
Juergen
