I've been trying to find the reason for many hanging smtpservers,
most on BDAT.
My current suspect is a network problem derived from broken connections
where the sender gives up and the recipient somehow does not get a clue
of that.
What would be the con, if any, to adding SO_KEEPALIVE to smtpserver conns ?
