Presently not.   It might be possible to have a thin wrapper
layer on top of e.g. GNU glibc that can do the same things we
do with sfio, though.

I begun to use  Sfio  in order to circumvent Solaris libc's
problems in STDIO layer, where the  FILENO  storage field
is  "unsigned char".  There are also couple other neat things
with SSL that Sfio enabled.
