 "pts/3" ?  Do you have Solaris ?

See  /etc/nsswitch.conf  file about where the "group" entry is
looked from.  NIS+ ?  (I.e. not from local file?)

Also, although group numeric value does not really matter here,
Likely "1" is reserved for something..
