I'm running the Toronto version 2.2 (Rayan's) on a Sun SPARCstation 10
running SunOS 4.1.3_U1.  I will ask the Auckland folks to send me
some test messages to a machine running only the smtpserver process only and
look in the /var/spool/postoffice/router files to confirm what kind of
characters are in those files.  Thanks for the other info as well.
