Scheduler response '-MAILQ2 No such command; VERB=SHOW REST=QUEUE'

Hello,

I'm new to Zmailer and have a strange problem. After compiling, make
install and zmailer start I tried to do "mailq". The result is:

Scheduler response: '-MAILQ2 No such command; VERB='SHOW' REST='QUEUE''

What can cause that?

I've ftp'ed zmailer 2.99.54 and did a

./configure -prefix=/usr/local/zmailer \
	--with-postoffice=/var/spool/postoffice \
	--with-mailbox=/var/mail \
	--with-logdir=/var/log/mail \
	--with-zconfig=/etc/zmailer.conf

prior to make.

Any hint is very appreciated.
