|/shell/program troubles

hi.

iam trying to execute a special parser for a specific mail address.

i inserted address001: "|/path/prog"
into aliases and the program gets executed.
BUT: on reception of a new message, the program gets called once for
_all_
previously sent messages...

do i have to flush the messages?
if flush, how?
