  Any possibility for you to send me the pre-processed version of the
interpret.c ?  Produce it like this:

cc -DMAILER -DHAVE_CONFIG_H  -I./../include -I../include -I.. -I. -E interpret.c > interpret.i

  Getting that would give me some handle at the riddle.
