anti-spam mismatch in pattern ?

doing a grep in smtp-policy.spam for econnect gives me:

gate.mcc.net# grep -i econnect /apps/zmailer/db/smtp-policy.spam
@freeconnect.com

Notice that there is NO match for ns3.econnect.ca, nor econnect.ca.
Any idea as to why this was rejected?
