Well, I naively thought that selecting using the router file
SMTP+UUCP.cf which is supposed to provide for UUCP and SMTP mail would
fullfill my responsibility...

Don't get me wrong - I think Matti has done wonders with maintaining
zmailer, but this is clearly a bug and should be fixed.

/nick - you can do what you want. I'm not asking you to change. If
your users are happy with what you are doing, that's great. People
here would not be happy with my rejecting mail like that and I happen
to agree with them.

But in any case, my beef is not with you. It's with zmailer. This is
clearly a bug, which your site has brought out. I don't agree that
matti's suggestion to 'educate the uucp system admins' is the proper
answer.

I don't have any more pull with these guys than you do - and they have
just as many reasons for not changing the way their sites work as you
do for not changing the way your site does. Until something changes,
mail will not be getting through between you guys.
