  In the end the bug was written into gdbm module in my
  rewrite yesterday.  The bug was wrong pointer referral, which
  then scribled over memory in hard to find places  :-(
  (e.g. the usual story)

  Commit coming up (and further compiler testing e.g. at Solaris.)
