You may also want to check rbldnsd http://www.corpit.ru/mjt/rbldnsd.html 
(inspired on the former, but more flexible)... you also have the problem 
of updating the db from ascii, but maybe you can hack some db update (I 
don't know if rbldnsd uses cdb -non updatable- or sleepycat)...
