MailScanner

Hi,

Leo Helmann developed ZMailer support into MailScanner
(http://MailScanner.info). This support has been included in the latest betas
(4.15-2) and in fact, the new Postfix support has been derived from it.

MailScanner is a perl program that traverses your mailer queue and does
content filtering.

It can do RBL checking (which you don't need, cause smtpserver can do it on
its own), it searches for common vulnerabilities in e-mail, it can ban
certain filenames and optionally can call a command line virus scanner and/or
SpamAssassin (http://SpamAssassin.org) and interpret its output.

It will definitively slow down your ZMailer, but if you don't have that need
for speed and are looking for an inexpensive and flexible content filter, I
don't think you'll find anything beating MailScanner+SpamAssassin... and the
cost is interesting, too... :-)
