If you mean wanting sender to follow STRICT RFC-821 space rules,
all you need to do is to have:
SMTPOPTIONS="-s strict -s ve -l /var/log/mail/smtpserver"
After that, sites (spam-softwares) feeding:
MAIL FROM: <foo@bar>
will be rejected.
If you mean spaces inside the address local-parts (where quoted string
type address may well have spaces), then the case is a lot more
difficult..
