Disabling piggybacking/pipelining
Hi all,
I am having a very strange problem with Zmailer.
Zmailer appears to be "bursting" messages.. what I mean is that when I
examine the mail logs I see a series of short xdelays.. like 0-3
seconds.. then it will get stuck in a rut where the xdelays are 3
minutes plus.. infact it appears that when in the rut they are 3 minute
intervals (ie. 3, 6, 9, 12 min xdelays.. but usually 3).
I was concerned that this might be related to pipelining/piggybacking so
I tried disabling this by adding -P to the smtp/* and smtpx/* entries in
scheduler.conf.
I am wondering:
1. Is this the correct way to disable smtp piggy-backing?
2. Has anyone ever encountered this problem before? Could it be hardware
failure?
Thanks in advance
