SFIO Compile Problems with latest Release and CVS

hello.

i was hoping someone had seen this problem before and can provide
me a quick fix. this is happening with both the latest release and
the CVS version (from yesterday evening).

platform:
    # uname -a
    Linux localhost 2.2.16C24_III #1 Thu Mar 22 21:17:39 PST 2001 i586
unknown

configure command:
    ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/etc/mail \
                   --with-postoffice=/var/spool/postoffice \
                   --with-mailbox=/var/mail \
                   --with-logdir=/var/log/mail \
                   --with-zconfig=/etc/zmailer.conf

error:

i figured i would see if anyone else had a quick fix for this
rather then try to debug it (and ultimately fail :)).

thanks in advance,
