  I am not quite sure what is the origin there, now that
  I tried it myself (with and without enabling IPv6), I get
  successfull lookups for localhost.

  However for some reason the  getaddrinfo() doesn't give me
  IPv6 addresses, but yields:
	EAI_ADDRFAMILY  address family for nodename not supported

  most peculiar...
