Problems of a newbie with zmailer

Hi all

I'm trying to set up zmailer and I encounter the following problem:

router does not start, and all I can see in the logfile /var/log/mail/router
is:

router: cannot chdir.
0 0 0 22
router: daemon not started.
router: exit(1): errors during startup


anyone could give me a hand on how could I debug this?
I use the standard config files supplied by the RPM ...
