Gov. Ridge of Pennsylvania recently signed into law that it is illegal to knowingly transmit a virus to a resident or business in Pennsylvania.
There is a prison term and financial penalties for infecting other people's computers.

SB-1077 defines - for the first time - the meaning of "Computer Virus" in Pennsylvania.
And the bill incorporates "computer hacking".  Very innovative.
