I'm having roughly the same problem on ZMailer 2.99.50-s19, compiled with
egcs 1.1.2 on Solaris 2.7. No matter what time or timezone ZMailer sees
(even mine, -0400), the date header is rewritten to the current time
-0400. Fortunately, we don't seem to have your problem of the router
thinking it's in a different time zone.

I guess the workaround for this is to replace dateparse.c with the newer
version, but can we stop the router from rewriting date headers entirely?
