    I don't quite understand that problem - or, well, I think I do..
    Current CVS (as of yesterday, or even 20th) should do it, but
    your latter message indicated otherwise.

    The patch I got contains (essentially)  include/netdb6.h  file
    content added into  include/libc.h -- that can't be correct way.
    Which file(s) didn't compile with base CVS source ?
