That's odd. Following examples are run at my workstation with *.cf
files which are present in the CVS (proto/cf/) and using SMTP+UUCP.cf
as my router.cf -- database configurations may, naturally, cause wide
  deviations...

z# server verify matti.aarnio@sonera.fi
<mea.interactive@mea.tmt.tele.fi>: address: matti.aarnio@sonera.fi
smtp delivery to sonera.fi for <matti.aarnio@sonera.fi>
z# server expand matti.aarnio@sonera.fi
<mea.interactive@mea.tmt.tele.fi>: address: matti.aarnio@sonera.fi
Matti Aarnio <mea@sonera.fi>

z# server verify eugene.crosser@average.org
<mea.interactive@mea.tmt.tele.fi>: address: eugene.crosser@average.org
smtp delivery to average.org for <eugene.crosser@average.org>
z# server expand eugene.crosser@average.org
<mea.interactive@mea.tmt.tele.fi>: address: eugene.crosser@average.org
smtp delivery to average.org for <eugene.crosser@average.org>

Could you do test samples by at first executing command:
	z# rtrace
and then your example 'server' commands.
The output is *long*, but nevertheless I would like to get the full
transcript. (It is *not* same as 'trace all'; RFC822 token scanner,
and RegularExpression evaluator detail tracking isn't very usefull here..)
