No recipients in transport file

I'm running zmailer-2.99.49p6 on two AIX 4.1.5 hosts. One of
them relays about 60,000 messages a day and the other one about
5,000.

I'm having a strange problem with certain messages, when doing
mailq -s I sometimes get a bunch of messages (could be hundreds)
with NO_THREAD status. When checkin the transport files it seems
there is only empty recipient addresses (nothing after 'r').

The queue file contains the addresses though so I've made a
script that requeues them back to the router.

An example of a strange transport file follows:

The corresponding queue file looks like this:

As you can se the date is very old, this message is not shown in the
mailq -s list, but it was requeued yesterday must have been someway
lost by the scheduler.

A grep 57408-30368 of the scheduler log shows hundreds of lines:
Resyncing file "A/57408-30368" (ino=57408) .. in processing db

Out of 335 files in the queue directory 18 is older than 10 days.
None of these 116 are displayed when doing mailq -s.

There seems to be a serious problem with zmailer, does
anyone know anything about this?
