UUCP -> domain style conversion...
Hello,
I've setup a pure UUCP connection to our zmailer running site.
The other end is pure UUCP site running AIX 3.2.4 with sendmail.
The problem is that return path is not what I want to see.
The header of som test message looks like:
>From dbp!tomori@saske.sk Fri Jul 11 13:31:48 1997
1^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Received: from dbp by mail.saske.sk with UUCP id <102244-1446>; Thu, 10 Jul 1997 16:27:23 +0200
Received: by dbp.saske.sk (AIX 3.2/UCB 5.64/4.03)

Date: Thu, 10 Jul 1997 10:03:42 GMT
From: dbp!tomori

Subject: Re: test of uucp to dbp
Return-Path: <tomori@dbp.uucp>
3^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
What I'd like to see is the underscored text to appear as
1 From dbp!tomori@saske.sk ------> From tomory@dbp.saske.sk
and
2 From: dbp!tomori ------> From: tomory@dbp.saske.sk
and
3 Return-Path: <tomori@dbp.uucp> --> Return-Path: <tomori@dbp.saske.sk>
The 3rd case probably has to be changed by sendmail but the first two
by our zmailer I suppose.
If I'm wrong let me know.
Anyway, is anybody running similar setup ? I'm not zmailer guru for
rewriting rules for mailheaders, so I look for solution how to make our
zmailer convert UUCP style addresses to domain style. I've read somewhere
that sendmail 8.8.6 has such a feature. Has zmailer something similar ?
BTW, I'm running zmailer 2.99.43.
Thank a lot for any comments.
Regards
