i just thought i'd mention that qmail handles relay-denial trivially -- in
fact, it's the default configuration i believe.  there is a list of domains
for which it will accept mail, and if an addressee's domain isn't on that
list, it bounces.  there can be overridden in various ways to support pop
clients or other hosts (like localhost, in the case of mailers like mh)
which need to be able to use the hub as a smart host.  (www.qmail.org for
