2.99.38 smtpserver IDENT problem

Hi,

Do anyone run 2.99.38 has problem with smtpserver?  It seems that
RFC931/RFC1413 ident protocol is not working.   Our email server is running
Solaris 2.5 and compiled 2.99.38 with the following autoconfig.

	./configure --with-bundled-libresolv --with-gcc

The smtpserver logfile always logged  "connection from UNKNOWN@xxxx" even the
connecting host is installed with "in.identd".

Previously, I was running 2.99.26 and seems no problem.  I notice that there's
some changes from "libauth" to "libident" in between 2.99.26 and 2.99.38 but
I don't know whether the problem stems from.   Actually, I has tried 2.99.34
as well and found not working too.
