	Comes to mind a suspect about having  /usr/lib/sendmail
	as set-uid-daemon...

	Alternate is that GCC 2.6.0 has manifested yet another
	way to break...  ("Never trust '0' editions...")

	Still I think I have gcc-2.6.0 on  utu.fi,  and don't have
	these problems..  (It is on SunOS 4.1.3, though..)

	A sample email containing full headers is appreciated,
	it tells (to me, very least) a lot more...
